Lets take a look at:
Mark 16:15
And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature."

Now lets look at that verse in depth. Here is a fascinating thing. The original Greek meaning of “Go into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature” opens up some interesting thoughts.

The word for “go” is very captivating. It is poreuomai, meaning “go.” The word “all” also carries with it gripping connotations. It is hapas, and actually means “all.” And if that doesn’t rivet you, look closely at the word “every.” It is pas, and literally means “every.”

So when Jesus commanded us, “Go into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature,” to be true and faithful to the original text, what He was actually saying was, “Go into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”

We have have some great outreach ministries here at Oak View.
Let me briefly tell you about them and please pray about getting involved.

1.) Bible Fellowship (Sunday School): The classroom is the "gateway" into the church. It is my hope that you will tell others of the fellowship, friends and growth you have in and through class.  We should all actively try to get new people to join us for Bible Fellowship at 9:30am.

2.) F.A.I.T.H:  We have an upcoming semester of F.A.I.T.H. training classes that begin on Monday, Sept. 14.  The class is being taught by Pastor Steve Smith and will teach you how reach those around you with the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  This knowledge will be put into application as we reach out to the community to share about the forgiveness of sin and the salvation available through our great Redeemer, the Lord Jesus Christ.  To get more information about this great opportunity please feel free to contact me or call the chruch office @ 336-841-6511.

3.) Grow: Grow is a ministry that has teams that meet once a month.  The outreach avenues are; phone calls, letter writting, visitation, and prayer.  They have a great time fellowshipping and serving.

If you would like more information on any of these great opportunities just let me know!

If the command to “preach the gospel to every creature” were given only to the eleven disciples, preaching of the gospel would have stopped when they died. Every Christian is a “disciple.” The word in Greek is mathetes and simply means “a learner.” It is used in reference to the eleven, as well as to believers such as Joseph of Arimathea (Matthew 27:57), Ananias (Acts 9:10), and others (Acts 9:36; 16:1; 21:16). In Luke 14:26,27 Jesus used the term in reference to any who would believe in Him.

Study to Share;
The Apostle Paul said, "Study to show yourself approved to God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed..." We need never be ashamed. The key is to "Study to show yourself approved to God." Study how to share your faith. It's as simple as that. We should study the subject. A great preacher once said, "It is the great business of every Christian to save souls. People complain that they do not know how to take hold of this matter. Why, the reason is plain enough; they have never studied it. They have never taken the proper pains to qualify themselves for the work. If you do not make it a matter of study, how you may successfully act in building up the kingdom of Christ, you are acting a very wicked and absurd part as a Christian." There goes another minute. Gone forever. Go share your faith while you still have time.
